Paige Hurd, who portrayed Lauren Baldwin in Power Book II: Ghost, is gaining recognition.She portrays a devoted student who has recently enrolled at Stansfield University, where she encounters Tariq St. Patrick (played by Michael Rainey Jr.). Tariq, the son of infamous New York mobster James “Ghost” St. Patrick (portrayed by Omari Hardwick), is the protagonist of the series.
The series is a Starz spinoff of Power, which received acclaim for its tenacious and rapid-fire depiction of the New York underground criminal scene.

The actress and her four siblings were reared by their single mother, Cheryl Martin. Martin is a co-owner of CMA Entertainment, a talent management and production company with over 20 years of experience in the film, television, voice-over, theater, and music industries.
In an interview with the magazine Schon, Hurd attributed her success to her family.
The actress is preparing to film the third season of BET’s The Oval after the conclusion of the second season.
