There’s a possibility you’ve at least heard of Dr. Disrespect if you enjoy streaming, gaming, and Twitch. He hasn’t been barred from the platform for a time, though.

He recently disclosed that he would sue the live-streaming service over their decision to block him.

Without a question, the prohibition has made Doc’s year difficult. But during good times and bad, he has always had his wife, Mrs. Assassin, as she is known on Instagram, by his side.

Infidelity, Conciliation, And Bad Luck

Mrs. Assassin has had to put up with a lot while she was Dr. Disrespect’s patient. With all the attention he receives and the mess he creates, Dr. Disrespect, actual name Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, does not make life any easier.

The pair reportedly wed in 2013, and since then, their marriage has experienced a few bumps. The first, and most significant one, occurred in 2017. He acknowledged cheating in a stream that took place in December of that year.

He broke down in tears as he confessed, calling his errors “dumb (expletive) mistakes.” He said, “I’m going to take time off to focus on my family, and I just wanted to let you guys know that,” before announcing his decision to stop broadcasting.

Additionally, he apologized to Twitch, his fans, and sponsors.

But he came back. He then returned with his family, appearing to be in better shape than before. His wife began to show up on more of his streams and videos after that.

She typically shows up as a feeding hand during the Livestream, giving his typically hectic streams a fun, light touch. However, less than a year after everything returned to normal for the pair, tragedy struck once more.

When Mrs. Assassin miscarried in 2018, the parents of daughter Alana were unable to make their family of three into a family of four.

On June 13, 2018, Dr. Disrespect confirmed the passing of the person who would have been his son during a Twitch stream.

Managing Disputations and Bans

Beahm plays the online character Dr. Disrespect. And that means you have to make sure everyone is entertained. He has, however, occasionally stepped over the line and been branded as toxic and obnoxious during that process.

One of them occurred in 2018 when he was charged with racism. A musician named Jimmy Wong criticized him for his disrespectful parodies of Chinese accents and vocabulary.

Dr. Disrespect refuted the charge by mentioning that his wife is multiracial and is from the little island of Molokai. He also mentioned how many multiethnic, multiracial friends he had and referred to Wong’s callout as “laughable.”

Then his disputes with Twitch began. According to Variety, the first, smaller ban occurred in June 2019 after he broke both the Penal Code of California and Twitch’s privacy policies.

The major one occurred in June 2020 when Dr. Disrespect was permanently removed from Twitch for an unspecified cause.

Through it all, Mrs. Assassin has been standing by her husband. After the ban went into effect, she stepped out to thank the crowd for their support.

The outcome of Dr. Disrespect’s case, which is going to make headlines, will be intriguing. The sight of Mrs. Assassin standing at his side, though, will be even more intriguing—or maybe rather touching.
