Steve started his career in Chris Adam’s school of wrestling and made his TV debut 1989. After two years in 1991, he signed a contract with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) for a year. That year, he won the World TV Championship and NWA and WCW Tag Team Championship together with Brian Pillman. Then in 1995, he was introduced to Extreme Championship Wrestling by Paul Heyman.
Austin got chance in WWF in late 1995 by Vince McMahon with the help of Kevin Nash and Jim Ross. He won and got fame after winning four federation championship and several other individual titles. In 1999 at the WrestleMania XV, Steve Austin beat The Rock to win the WWE Championship but lost the belt to The Undertaker after some months. He regained the belt defeating him and again lost to Triple H at No Mercy letting the belt go.
