Season 16 of ‘Wild N’ Out’ – Here’s How Nick Cannon Redeemed Himself as a VH1 Host After Being Fired

Season 16 of ‘Wild N’ Out’ – Here’s How Nick Cannon Redeemed Himself as a VH1 Host After Being Fired

Season 16 of VH1’s hit franchise Wild ‘N Out will begin on August 10, with Nick Cannon reprising his role as host after being booted from the show.

Before Cannon came under criticism for making controversial comments during an episode of his podcast Cannon’s Class, which aired last summer, the long-running sketch and improv comedy show had been renewed for three more seasons.

Cannon made anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and lauded Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan during the program. YouTube banned his podcast episode for breaking the platform’s “hate speech policy.”

ViacomCBS, the parent company of Wild ‘N Out, issued a statement condemning discrimination of any type and apologizing on Cannon’s behalf for his remark. They also stated that their relationship with him was coming to an end.

However, seven months later, in February of this year, the company welcomed Cannon back into the fold, expressing optimism that they would be able to work with him again after his apologetic journey.

Cannon has now apologized for his remarks and accepted responsibility for them. He also met with important members of the Jewish community in private to learn how to be a more effective “anti-hate champion.”

Season 16 of Wild ‘N Out

According to Deadline, the show will have a new look and feel for the forthcoming season, with a post-apocalyptic set design, 10 new games, and two new teams, Team Revolution and Team Evolution.

Team Revolution will be commanded by Cannon, but the other will be led by the special guest of the program rather than a set leader. The two teams will fight in a variety of games before facing off in the final “Wildstyle battle,” where a winner will be determined.

B. Simone, Hitman Holla, Justina Valentine, Bobb’e Thompson, Lil JJ, Jess Hilarious, and Conceited were among the show’s cast members last season.

Season 16’s cast has yet to be announced, as the show is known for rotating its cast. We do, however, know who the special guests will be.

Latto, Malaysia Pargo, Trina, Loni Love, 42 Dugg, Karlie Redd, Freddie Gibbs, Gary Owen, Erica Banks, Big Freedia, Too $hort, Zaytoven, BRS Kash, Murray, 24KGoldn, Jucee Froot, HotBoii, Mooski, Foushee, Kirk and Rasheeda Frost are among the artists on the bill thus far.

However, more names are expected to be revealed.

Wild ‘N Out is also teaming up with Stage TEN, a technology platform, for a live interactive digital spectacular that will last an hour.

Fans will be able to interact with the cast in real-time through comments and ultimately vote for the winning team at playwildnoutlive.com.
