Williams switched to the Miami Dolphins on 8th March 2002 for four draft picks, including two first-round picks. In week 12, against the San Diego Chargers, he had 143 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to earn AFC Offensive Player of the Week. In another game against the Chicago Bears, he had 216 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to earn AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor. Overall, he was the NFL’s leading rusher with 1853 yards, a First-Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler.
