American sports broadcaster Maria Taylor was in a romantic relationship with a mysterious boyfriend in 2016. Her numerous posts with him substantiated the fact that the couple was to get married soon.

The Georgia native is known for her work as an analyst and host for ESPN and its other venture, the SEC Network. She covers college football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball in the network.

While Maria is seen a lot as an advocate for her charity, The Winning Edge Leadership Academy, she took a step back and shared her experiences at the Chapel on 17 October 2018 with University of Georgia students in finding her passions.

She was invited by Laura Little, the director of the Institute for Leadership Advancement who helped organize the event. She knew Maria personally from teaching her in the leadership class of the MBA program.

The venue was full of students and faculty, all waiting to hear Taylor’s story. Leonard Leadership Scholar Jack Zucker opened the event as he provided a background to Taylor’s journey from a UGA student-athlete to a sports broadcaster.

In the interview, Maria spoke about the trials and errors she faced, from switching her major three times to recalling embarrassing moments on live television. She concluded her story as she talked about how having one mindset couldn’t make it big for her so she changed her course multiple times.

She assured me that changing courses didn’t mean failure and that it could lead people to the right thing they need in life.

She Shares Close Bond With Family, Ethnicity

The talented analyst was born on 12 May 1987 as a daughter of mixed ethnicity parents. Her father was a former FBI agent, Steve, and her mother, Suzette Taylor.

She is a family girl and does not fail to demonstrate her love for her family through social sites.

In January 2015, on the day of the retirement of her father from the FBI, she uploaded a picture of her father and mother on her Twitter. In the caption, she wrote that her father retired from the FBI after 27yrs of service and she has grown up with the perfect example of a loving husband and father.

She also has a brother, Steve, and a sister Savannah in her family. She belongs to the Afro-American ethnicity.
