Louie Anderson is a stand-up comedian from the United States. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest comedians of all time. He is well-known for both his book, Hey Mom, and his cartoon show, Life With Louie.

When a blackmailer named Richard Gordon entered Louie’s life in the late 1990s, he was appearing on the family-friendly series Life With Louie and Family Feud. The blackmailer threatened to make public the incident in which the comedian reportedly offered him sex.

Instead of reporting the individual to the authorities, Louie paid him $100,000. However, the man returned for additional money, raising his demand to $250,000, at which point Louie arranged for Richard to meet him in a Los Angeles restaurant to hand him the check, according to investigators. After a high-speed chase through West Los Angeles, undercover FBI officers confronted Richard and captured him on April 11, 2000. They also discovered weapons and ammunition in his truck.

While the case was being heard in court, Richard claimed that he had been approached by Louie in a Southern California casino in 1993. He also revealed that Louie had specifically requested that he accompany him home and strip naked so that he could touch him, which he declined.
