The Witcher actress has two siblings: an older sister named Reeya Chalotra and a younger brother named Arun Chalotra, a photographer and designer based in London.
In 2019, the television actress traveled to India to reconnect with her roots, and she sat down with Vogue India for an in-depth interview while there.

Chalotra was eight years old when her father asked her to come forward and sing an Indian song in front of their family, who were all laughing.
Chalotra also appears to have retained her Indian roots as a result of her parents’ sound upbringing. The assertion can be supported by the numerous photographs of India and Indian culture that she has posted on her official Instagram accounts.
In August 2018, Chalotra shared a collection of old photographs depicting Indian life at the time, along with the description,
An old snapshot of her parents posing for a photo at a local Indian-style furniture warehouse is also included in the post.

Fans of the novel were first disappointed by Chalotra’s casting in the character of Yennefer, who was looking forward to the commencement of the novel-based series.
According to the report, Chalotra was mocked and described as an ingenue, or, to put it another way, a typecast – an inept choice for a complex character.
The actress reminisced about the situation, saying,
The actress had to shut down her social media accounts as a result of the mockery she had received.
The actress’s choice to take a break from her social media accounts stemmed from her desire for her character to develop naturally without putting any pressure on her job.
