Kellie Shanygne Williams is an American actress best known for her role in Family Matters, an American sitcom. Williams played Laura Lee Winslow in the popular family show.
The comedy show premiered on September 22, 1989, and ran until July 17, 1998, when it was canceled.
Family Matters was the first broadcast on ABC, however, the show was eventually picked up by CBS.

Williams worked as a children’s fashion model before landing her big break on TV. Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, The Colored Museum, and Buffterfingers Angel were all staged by the alumna of Howard University Children’s Theatre.
Despite beginning her career at a young age, the 45-year-old actress is still working in the entertainment industry, and she was most recently seen in the romance/comedy Christmas in Carolina in 2020.
Following her time on Family Matters, the American actress appeared in a number of television episodes, including Moesha (1996-1998), What About Joan (2000-2001), In the Mix (2005), and Eve (2006).
In 2001, Williams starred opposite Joan Cusack, wife of famed actor John Cusack, in another ABC sitcom titled What About Japan. Williams also appeared in the 2009 comedy/dance film Steppin: The Movie, which was released straight to DVD.
Unfortunately, the 2-hour and 18-minute film about college students competing in a step-dance competition was a flop, as moviegoers showed little or no interest.

Williams married Hannibal Jackson in Fort Washinton, Maryland, on September 5, 2009, after meeting him in 2007.
According to Essence, their wedding was black and white themed.
Last year, the adorable pair celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, and actress Williams was quick to share a heartwarming video of the husband and wife on her social media page.
The love-filled video was backed by African-American singer-songwriter Curtis Mayfield’s song “The Making of You.”
Jackson, her spouse, had previously served in the military as a reservist. He is presently the President/Chief Executive Officer of Y-Tech, LLC, an information technology firm situated in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
According to Jackson, his father named him Hannibal after the renowned African general Hannibal Barca, which is a unique and eye-catching name.
Hannah Belle Jackson, the elder daughter, and John Ervin Jackson, the younger son, are the proud parents of the couple’s two children. Their boy was born in July 2012, two years after their daughter was born in June 2010.
