In 2018, the singer revealed that she was expecting a child. On social media, she stated that she had always wanted to be a mother. The Honey singer went on to say that she aspired to have a large and happy family of her own.
Kehlani went on to say that she felt blessed to be given the gift of being pregnant by the creator. The artist was also grateful for the support of a wonderful companion. She was, however, tight-lipped about her baby’s father’s identity at the time. She later revealed that her guitarist, Javie Young-White, was the father of her child.
In an interview with Advocate, Kehlani discussed the advantages she has being a gay woman. In the last few years, the 25-year-old mother has broken a lot of regulations. Because of the pressure, the singer admitted that she did not divulge her sexual inclination or speak about her personal life.
Few artists, Kehlani believes, can take the steps she has in her life and be really themselves. She considers herself fortunate to be so fortunate. The artist understands how difficult it is for trans artists, Black gay men, and Black gay women who are masculine.
The singer wants to bring her daughter Adeya Nomi up in a progressive and LGBT environment. She also wants to read gay stories and novels to her young kid. Kehlani wants her daughter to feel at ease when she reads stories with two parents, two mothers, and two fathers.
As her kid grows older, Kehlani hopes that she will see queer couples as normal people.
