Jeannie Camtu Mai was born on the 4th of January, 1979 in San Jose, California as the eldest child of her parents. She raised up in California with two younger siblings, brothers named Daniel and Dennis. Growing up, she experienced her home religion, Buddhism but later changed to the Christian confidence.
She established her secondary education from Milpitas High School and later bagged a degree in Communication from De Anza College. Belonging to a large family made the rising star to twitch working early in life; by the time she was 16, Mai was already going for interviews and experimenting with greasepaint tackles fitting to her mum who was a local celebrity.

At the age of 18, Mai moneyed her first job as a make-up artist with MAC Cosmetics while living in San Jose, California. She completed steady progress in her job until she was considered competent enough to work for personalities. Later, MTV’s Total Request Live employed her as their star greasepaint stylist and so did others including Good Day Sacramento and KCAL Los Angeles.
In 2003, after testing for numerous compering concerts, she grew an occupation, co-hosting Stir on the International Channel. After this, she was busy to host her own music countdown on the California Music Channel. Later, she propertied the position of performing producer and reporter of The Daily Mixx on WB.
Her first primetime accommodating job was in 2005 on Character Fantasy airing on the USA Network. When she ultimately enthused to Los Angeles, she instigated hosting sections relating to entertaining news and fashion on several networks like NBC, E!, Era and TLC. TLC’s 10 Years Younger finally offered her a place as part of their beauty squad.
