Accused of Domestic Battery and Arrested
In April 2019, Arcangel was involved in a domestic violence scandal that made headlines and for which he was even detained. According to the arrest report, Arcangel kicked a woman following a heated dispute with her—his potential partner.
The pop star admitted that his girlfriend did not approve of him speaking to other ladies. He said that there had only been a “small kick thing” after an altercation. According to the singer’s lawyer, his partner disagreed with what the cops had to say.
The accused’s lawyer, Edwin Prado, also asserted that the singer and his ladylove had a romantic falling out. The lawyer further stated that everything was just a miscommunication.
According to surveillance footage obtained by a Las Vegas police officer, Arcangel kicked his girlfriend severely. She apparently flew against a wall after the kick.
In the end, the singer was taken into custody on charges of domestic abuse and was released on $3000 bond.
He is close to his children.
Despite the charges of marital violence, the Reggaeton artist is reputed to be close with his children and family.
From his first union with Alejandra Pascual, he had a son by the name of Austin Alejandro. With his second wife, Janexsy, he also shares a stepson and a daughter, Angelica Lucero.
