Even after meeting for a year during her audition for Happy Endings, Wilson and Caspe were not together. It wasn’t until Caspe’s sister persuaded her to ask Wilson out that she began dating other men.

Wilson told Glamour that she had been expecting a proposal for a long time, but it never occurred since Caspe was such a laid-back person. He ultimately purchased a home and invited her to move in, but she refused until they were engaged.

Caspe spent a year renovating the house before proposing unexpectedly in September 2013.
