Namiotka identified herself as a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of John Coughlin. The former skater made this post on 19 May 2019 and said that John had hurt ten other girls along with her.
John Coughlin was being investigated for sexual abuse four month prior to his event. However, he committed suicide by hanging, which made the abuse story more trustable.
Further, Namiotka revealed that John had been abusing her for 2 years while they were partnered. After her announcement, Namiotka has received immense support for the online community for her brave actions.
