Betsy was born and raised in Leadville, Colorado on June 10, 1984. Craig Sodaro, her father, and Sue Sodaro, her mother, raised her. Katie, Sally, and Amy were her three sisters.
Her father, a children’s playwright, gave her her first taste of theatrics. She grew up participating in her father’s theatre productions. During the summers, her family used to perform melodramas at Fort Laramie in Wyoming.
