In 2012, Kali Uchis, a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, released her mixtape Drunken Babble, which is when her music initially gained attention. In addition to her first studio album, Isolation, she also released her debut EP, Por Vida, in 2015.
With the release of her second studio album, Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonois), which was also her first Spanish-language effort, Uchis’ career gained further momentum. The album’s song “Telepatia,” which debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, was a huge hit.

Gleesh Yung
When Yung Gleesh was charged with assault in 2018, Uchis was with him at the time. In 2015, a woman in downtown Austin was allegedly assaulted by Gleesh, actual name Asa Asuncion, according to a report by Statesman.
He stayed at the home of a mutual acquaintance of his and the woman’s before the incident while appearing at the South by Southwest music festival. Gleesh was convicted of attempted assault and given a five-year prison sentence after the woman’s friend gave testimony against him.
Uchis told the jury that her lover was a good candidate for probation since he had improved over the years. She added that Gleesh’s rap career had been destroyed by the allegations.
Later, due to purely personal reasons, the two separated amicably.
Apollo Omar
After parting ways with Gleesh, Uchis was rumored to be dating musician Omar Apollo after he posted a photo of the two together at a pool party. She subsequently revealed on her Instagram Live that she was perplexed by a server at a restaurant thinking she and Apollo were a pair.
In an interview with Steve Lacy for Interview Magazine in October 2020, Uchis reiterated her denial that she ever dated Apollo.
Toliver, Don
After Toliver released the music video for his single “Drugs N Hella Melodies” on June 18, 2021, many began to speculate that he and Uchis were dating. She was mentioned in the song and appeared in the music video.
The rapper released photos of his 27th birthday celebration with Uchis, which led to dating rumors before anyone noticed the two’s connection in the music video.
