Laurentiis and her husband divorced amicably.

Laurentiis married her longtime partner, Todd Thompson, a fashion designer, in May 2003. They exchanged vows in an Italian wedding ceremony. The couple welcomed their first child, a girl named Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson, five years later, in March 2008.

However, despite 25 years of marriage and the existence of a daughter, their marriage was doomed to fail. They began living apart in July 2014 and filed for divorce in December of that year. On December 30, 2014, the Italian-American chef announced her divorce on Facebook, claiming that it was a mutually agreeable decision.

Her spouse received $2 million and $9,000 a month in child support in the divorce settlement, which was one of the most costly at the time.

She’d found love once more.

In 2013, the gourmet diva met television producer Shane Farley, a year and a half after her divorce. She was supposed to work with him on a talk program. As a result, her initial encounter with Farley was entirely business. The frequent meetings, however, sparked feelings between her and her companion, and the two began dating in late 2015.

Laurentiis credited the romance with giving her a new lease on life. She “felt like a kid again” to make a fresh start after spending nearly a quarter-century with Thompson.

Their bond was strengthened by their shared love of Italian cuisine and Laurentiis’ daughter, Jade, approval. Laurentiis and Farley can be seen spending quality time with Jade.

Her relationship with her boyfriend was strengthened by COVID’s quarantine.

While the epidemic had a significant impact on everyone’s lives, it also allowed people to reconnect with their families and loved ones. Laurentiis faced the same situation. She took advantage of the quarantine period to visit her boyfriend Farley in California. Furthermore, Farley assisted her in the camera work for her most recent episode, Giada At Home 2.0.

She told the PEOPLE in 2020 about her quarantine that she had never had the opportunity to spend so much time with her spouse before. The Food Network celebrity went on to say that the isolation had strengthened her friendship with her lover.

She also acknowledged her daughter, saying that the isolation allowed her to get to know her better.

Laurentiis reflected on simpler times.

Giada de Laurentiis posted a touching remembrance of her life as a mother with her daughter Jade on November 8, 2018.

Giada was photographed wearing a blue tracksuit and feeding her daughter a bottle.

She hid the caption behind her amazement at her daughter’s diminutive size. ‘#tbt hard to think she was ever this tiny. #mommymoments #mygirl,’ she added.

Jade, on the other hand, has grown up to not only look like her mother but also to cook like her. In fact, the chef told PEOPLE in March 2018 that her daughter enjoyed messing around in the kitchen.

Laurentiis’ Ascension to Notoriety

Laurentiis, the face of Food Network, hosts a variety of programs on the network. She is a frequent guest co-host on NBC’s Today, in addition to hosting Giada at Home.

She used to spend a lot of time in the kitchen as a kid. Her grandfather operated a restaurant, and she frequented it, inspiring her to want to own one. She wanted to be a pastry chef after training at Le Cordon bleu.

She returned to the United States, however, and worked as a professional chef in a number of high-profile restaurants. Her career in television began in 2003 when she hosted the Food Network show Everyday Italian.

She went on to host Behind the Bash and Giada’s Weekend Getaways for the network after that. She also served as a judge on several food series and hosted the 2007 Food Network Awards.

Laurentiis’ business interests extend beyond his TV career to eateries. She owns two restaurants: Giada, which opened in 2014 at the Cromwell, and Pronto by Giada, which opened in February 2018 at Caesars Palace.

Her television career has made her one of the most well-known celebrity chefs, with a sizable net worth.

Through her business pursuits, the TV personality/businesswoman has amassed a net worth of $20 million.

A Quick Look at Her CV

Chef Laurentiis was born on August 22, 1970, into an Italian family with Hollywood ties. She is Veronica De Laurentiis’s eldest daughter with her first husband, actor/producer Alex De Benedetti. Her maternal grandfather and grandmother both worked as performers in Italy.

She identified herself as a camera-shy person as a child since she was hesitant to follow in her family’s habit of appearing in front of the camera. However, fate had it that Giada would carry on the family’s legacy, albeit without performing and instead in front of the camera.
