Rodrigo Blankenship proposed to his girlfriend Logan Harrell last month, and she said yes.

Blankenship, an American football placekicker for the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts, announced his engagement to his girlfriend on Instagram on August 15, showing off the ring to the couple’s supporters and friends.

“The Blankenship’s has a [ring emoji] feel to it. I can’t wait to be with you forever. #RespectTheSpecs, #LadySpecs “He captioned the cute photo. Cynthia Sanchez took the photo at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana, with the footballer dressed in a full football kit.

His post, on which the placekicker limited the number of comments, received over 1000 congratulations messages for the pair from his close friends and family.

Harrell, a University of Georgia alum, also published a sequence of photographs on the same day to convey her joy at being engaged to the man she loves.

For nearly five years, they’ve been together.

The newly engaged couple has been dating since July 2016, which makes their relationship over five years old.

Blankenship even shared a photo of himself and his girlfriend to commemorate their first dating anniversary on July 30, 2017. In his lengthy comment, he said, “From my hoodies to my food to my joy to my tears… Here’s to hope for a whole lot more years.”

Similarly, he reminisced about his first date with Harrell at Siri Thai Cuisine last year, publishing a few photos of the couple — this time, it was to commemorate the couple’s four-year anniversary. If someone had told him the pair would still be together after four years, he would have laughed.

He went on to say that they had experienced an “amazing and blessed adventure over the previous 1,460 days together,” and that he wouldn’t change a thing.

Their Links to the University of Georgia

Surprisingly, both Blankenship and his upcoming wife, Harrell, have ties to the University of Georgia.

In the case of the NFL star, he purportedly earned a degree in digital and broadcast journalism from the university in December 2018, while his loving girlfriend allegedly works as a lab manager there.

Harrell suggested she was the manager at the university’s lab in an Instagram post on September 8, 2020. “Three people claim I am the best boss,” she said in the post, besides a photo of herself holding a coffee cup with the caption “WORLD’S BEST LAB MANAGER.”
