Milly Shapiro is a Tony Award-winning actress who is most known for playing Matilda in Roald Dahl’s novel Matilda on Broadway.

Her abilities, however, are not restricted to acting. Milly is also a talented singer and dancer who has studied ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop.

Milly Shapiro was born in Tampa, Florida on July 16, 2002.

She was a ten-year-old student at the Community Montessori School in Florida. After then, the actress relocated to New York.

In 2019, she went to the Professional Children’s School for Young Actors there.

Disability/Illness

Milly was born with a rare genetic disease called Cleidocranial dysplasia. It is a disorder that affects the structure of the face, skull, and teeth, as well as the absence or underdevelopment of the clavicles.

Low growth, weak pelvic bones, and a big forehead are also common symptoms of the condition. Medical research show that the illness is incurable.

On December 25, 2013, she and her sister Abigail launched the Shapiro Sisters YouTube channel. The Shapiro Sisters, a sister-duo melodrama, was also launched by the siblings. They wrote and performed the show at 54 Below in New York City. It was always going to be used to support an anti-bullying campaign.
