Sultana Abdul-Jabbar was born in April 1979 in Los Angeles, California, United States. When her father, Kareem, revealed his intention to divorce her mother, Habiba, she was only three months pregnant. Sultana’s parents’ marriage was dissolved in a religious ceremony at Sultana’s father’s request. In March 1983, her mother Habiba and father Kareem officially divorced.
