Kathleen Beilein was killed in a plane disaster with her husband John in 2017, after serving as a flight attendant and flying hundreds of flights. The duo was on their way to the Big Ten tournament aboard an aircraft. The Michigan basketball team, coaches, and family were waiting on the tarmac as the wind blew outside the window of the MD-80 plane.
Something didn’t feel right when the plane was ready to take off and rushed down the runway. Kathleen and her husband observed that the plane was taking an unusually lengthy time to lift off. The plane began to slide beyond the pavement, over the grass, over a fence, and into a grove of trees before coming to a halt. The accident could have been far worse, therefore the pair was fortunate.
Kathleen is the mother of four children.
Seana Hendricks, Mark Beilein, Patrick Beilein, and Andy Beilein are Kathleen Beilein’s four children. All of the children have grown up and started their own families. Seana Hendricks, the eldest, has three children with her spouse Ryan Hendricks: Finley Hendricks, Johnny Hendricks, and Charlie Hendricks.
