Born December 9, 1957 in Ogden, Utah, Donny Osmond is famous as a member of his family’s former musical group. On the one hand, the Osmonds as well as for their television variety show The Osmonds in the mid-1960s. And Donny went solo in the early ’70s, covering such hits as Go Away Little Girl and Puppy Love, to the delight of his young girl audience.
For thirty-five years, he and younger sister Marie Osmond gained fame as Donny & Marie, due in part to the success of their 1976–79 self-titled variety series. The duo also hosted a 1998–2000 talk show and have been headlining in Las Vegas since 2008.
