Rick McVey, a tech entrepreneur, married Lara Spencer, a broadcaster for Good Morning America.
The 58-year-old CEO of MarketAxess had his bio altered from single to married on September 1, 2018, when he said, “I do” to ABC’s host, Lara Spencer, in an outdoor wedding ceremony in Vail, Colorado.
While Rick waited for his wife to walk up to him, the bride walked down the aisle with her 16-year-old son, Duff Haffenreffer.
This wedding, like all others, had a minor snafu with the bride’s gown, which was delivered at the last minute after Lara ordered the dress to be created in a week. Fortunately, enough fabric was available for her gown, so it didn’t take long for it to arrive.

Lara, who is ten years her husband’s junior, walked down the aisle with her kid while Christina Perri’s song “A Thousand Years” played in the backdrop.
Rick got down on one knee and proposed to Lara in January 2018, after the two had been dating for two years.
