Shemar Moore hoped that his affair with Anabelle Acosta would put an end to gay rumors about him.
Shemar Moore, dubbed “one of the hottest men in Hollywood,” once intended to take his relationship with Cuban-American actress Anabelle Acosta one step at a time.
But, more importantly, he hoped that his friendship with the skilled artist would dispel any LGBT accusations.
Moore and Acosta began dating in early 2018, and the couple made their red carpet debut at the Grammy Awards.
Shemar Moore Responded to Gay Rumors
During an interview with TMZ in January 2018, the S.W.A.T. star opened up about his dating life and addressed LGBT allegations.
Moore stated that the LGBT rumors arose because he regularly brought his mother to Hollywood parties as his date. Then he said that he took Acosta to the Grammys to shake things up and disprove the rumors.
The 51-year-old also boasted about how he was able to secure Acosta as his date. As soon as he saw her, he recruited an army of individuals to track down her email address, according to his allegations.
He even offered a reward of two round trips to Vegas to anyone who could introduce her to him. Thankfully, his plan went down without a hitch, and the two attended the red carpet event as a couple.
Anabelle Acosta’s Relationship With Shemar Moore
Moore spoke to ET Canada in March 2018 on his relationship with Acosta after the amazing debut. He clarified that he and his partner were taking things one step at a time, claiming that they went big even before meeting.
Moore stated that they were still in the early stages of their relationship. He mentioned that they weren’t planning on getting married or having children just yet, but that they were taking baby steps in that direction.
Despite their sincere desire to make their relationship work, the couple’s relationship quickly deteriorated. In April 2019, his ex-girlfriend married Algenis Soto, a Dominican actor.
Is Shemar Moore married or unmarried?
As of this writing, the Oakland native is not married, but he hopes to locate and marry his perfect partner. Not only that but there’s more. He even fantasizes about starting a family with his future bride.
Moore expressed his desire to start a family in an interview with Watch! magazine in 2017. At the time, the Daytime Emmy winner declared, “I want to be a family man.”
He went on to say that he wanted to be a father and have a spouse with whom he could spend his life. The Criminal Minds star also stated that he wanted to keep moving on in his life.
Moore, on the other hand, has yet to find the proper partner to marry. He has, however, had a number of partnerships in the past.
He dated Shawna Gordon, a professional soccer player, for a short time in 2015. He had previously been romantically linked to Halle Berry and Toni Braxton.
