Since 2004, David Bromstad has been in a committed partnership with Jeffrey Glasko. However, the decade-long relationship ended in a way that no one could have predicted: a legal struggle involving slanderous charges.
Bromstad’s boyfriend was the one who filed the lawsuit.
Bromstad and Glasko’s love started off like something out of a storybook. They met at a singles party on Valentine’s Day in 2004 and fell in love right away.
The Color Splash host and his cop boyfriend have even moved in together. They had no idea that after a decade together, they would break up in 2015 due to bad blood.
His ex-partner launched a civil complaint against him shortly after the split for breach of an oral nuptial-like cohabitation arrangement. He also requested that the condo they shared be divided. The demands, on the other hand, were not as shocking as the reasons for their split.
Glasko claimed that after delving into the dark world of [expletive] and drugs, the Design Star winner left him emotionally and financially shattered.
Meanwhile, a circuit court judge in Miami-Dade County dismissed the allegations, calling them the “most disgusting” statements he had ever seen.
As a result, Glasko changed the claims and launched a new lawsuit in December 2015. Around 2010, he claimed the interior designer had used their joint funds to pay for drugs and prostitutes. He also claimed that his partner’s actions had caused them to lose trust and confidence in each other.
The judge dismissed his allegation of breach of contract for the second time.
Bromstad, on the other hand, categorically refuted the allegations and declined to comment more. The case result was disclosed by his lawyer, William V. Roppolo, who noted that the “salacious charges were made by a desperate person.”
