German-born Leslie was born in 1987. Her family moved to Upper Marlboro near Washington D.C. when she was young. She went to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue painting.
In her early career, the actress starred in Swim at Your Own Risk. MacGyver, Chef Julian, and Prototype featured her.
She received the lead part in 2017’s The Family Business, based on Carl Weber’s crime drama book series. Leslie landed her first recurring role as Brandon Michael Hall’s sister in God Friended Me in 2018.
Always a Bridesmaid, written by Yvette Nicole Brown, starred the actress.
She’s also appeared in the plays Seven Guitars by August Wilson, For Colored Girls by Ntozake Shange, and Chicago by Bob Fosse.
