Billy Idol is an English musician and actor who rose to fame as the main singer of Generation X in the 1970s.

The 65-year-career old’s was marred by 1980s decadence.

Idol has over six studio albums, countless singles, and multiple awards wins and nominations.

His fiancée China Chow, 47, whom he’s been dating since 2018, has also helped him stay composed.

In December 2019, Daily Mail highlighted Idol’s drug-free existence. The singer attended GQ’s Men of the Year Celebration in West Hollywood with Chow.

At the event, Idol donned a pinstripe suit, black shirt, and leather shoes. British-American actress Chow wore a semi-sheer black gown and crocodile-skin clutch.

In June of that year, he told the journal at the MOCA Museum inauguration that he was focusing on cardio.

He admitted that he wanted to be fit and have lots of breath.

Drug-addicted

The singer is noted for his 1980s rock culture and drug use, despite his musical contributions.

Idol told the Daily Telegraph in August 2019 that he felt alienated in the drug industry. He lived like “the world might end tomorrow”

Idol said doing it now would be foolish. He now gets high from live performances and limits his bad habits to “red wine and the occasional marijuana.”

Unmarried, Idol has sparked gay suspicions. He was even associated to singer-guitarist Adam Bomb, whom he met in 1985.

But neither their connection nor Idol’s dating rumors were proven.

His relationship with former Hot Gossip member Perri Lister was public. Longtime partners, they had a son, Willem Wolf Broad, in 1988.

After separating from Lister in 1989, Idol had a daughter with Linda Mathis, Bonnie Blue.
