Investigative journalist Jim Hoffer is well-known for his reports on Eyewitness News. He spent 22 long years married to Mika Brzezinski, the anchor of the talk show on MSNBC. In June 2016, they amicably divorced.

The Education and Career of Jim Hoffer
Patricia R. Hoffer, Hoffer’s mother, gave birth to James Patrick Hoffer.
She died on July 11, 2015, and had formerly belonged to the Lititz Moravian Church. She shared an apartment in Lititz’s Audubon Villa with Thomas, David, and Jeffrey Hoffer.
Hoffer attended Philadelphia’s Temple University and received his degree. He grew up with brothers. He started working for ABC7 as an investigative journalist after graduating.
He joined the Eyewitness News investigation team for Channel 7 in New York City in June 1998.
He worked on cases including aviation catastrophes, gas leaks in New York, gun show irregularities, and other matters as an investigator. His work on the gun case resulted in Virginia’s gun game shows being shut down, winning him widespread praise.
Hoffer has received numerous Emmy Awards as a result of his unwavering dedication. The native of Pennsylvania received three regional Emmys in Boston in 1996. For his series of investigative reports on the significant utility corporation, Con Ed, he also won an Edward R. Murrow Award.
After working with Eyewitness News for 21 years, he decided to retire in June 2019.

Hoffer and Mika Brzezinski were married.
Brzezinski and Hoffer were wed for 22 years. They worked together after becoming friends at the Hartford, Connecticut, Fox station. In 1993, on October 23, they got married.
Donal Kehew, a Roman Catholic priest, and Harry Boehmke, a Congregational minister, celebrated the wedding in the customary manner on Block Island.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Emilie Hoffer, three years after their wedding. In 1998, they welcomed Carlie Hoffer as their second child. They even acquired a 1920s English Tudor-style home for their family in Bronxville, New York, in 2012.
But the union was doomed, and the couple separated amicably and secretly in 2016.
What is Hoffer now doing?
Hoffer is taking the opportunity to connect with nature and stay in shape since leaving his position at ABC7, as shown on his Instagram feed.
He revised his biography and identified himself as a runner and biker from New York City. He also began sharing stunning photos from his treks on his social media account.
He published a photo of himself and his daughters on August 5, 2020, and wrote that it was a miracle that both of his daughters were running alongside him. In Acadia National Park, the father and daughters were jogging around.
Hoffer’s ex-wife has moved on, but he hasn’t yet been linked to any new ladies.
In a private ceremony in Washington, D.C., Brzezinski wed American television host Joe Scarborough in November 2018. They were engaged as of May 2017.
