Lloyd Daniel Pierce is an American basketball coach who previously led the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) (NBA). The Hawks sacked him on March 1, 2021, after the team’s terrible performance. This man has 18 years of experience as a basketball coach, having worked with clubs such as the Philadelphia 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Golden State Warriors.

When did the couple meet for the first time?
Lloyd and his current wife Melissa met in a steakhouse pub in Cleveland, Ohio, through mutual friends. Six months after their first meeting, they began spending more time together and eventually began dating.
Lloyd’s job forced him to move and travel frequently, so they had to be in a long-distance relationship for quite some time. Melissa Pierce, Lloyd Pierce’s wife, moved to Memphis to be with him after nearly four years of courting. The Proposition
Lloyd proposed to Melissa in 2014 after 6 years of dating. Lloyd insisted on going out instead of relaxing at home on one of the warmest and stickiest days of the summer. They went to Melissa Pierce’s childhood house after visiting one of Lloyd Pierce’s favorite parks. Despite Melissa’s emotional tie to the location, Lloyd never went there. So it’s understandable that Lloyd had everything prepared from the start.
Lloyd invited Melissa’s sister, Rachel Ghoston, to take a picture of them in front of the house. He was down on his knees in the blink of an eye. Melissa was speechless, despite the fact that she had been guessing and planning for it for the past six years. Finally, she replied with a resounding YES!!! Lloyd had already travelled to Buffalo that morning to receive Melissa’s father’s blessing. This concept was well-considered and well-executed. He chose Melissa’s childhood house out of all the exquisite places in the world. The proposal was sweet and meaningful.
Wedding with a Sunshine Theme
Melissa Ghoston and Lloyd D. Pierce married on August 14, 2015, at Cescaphe Event Group’s Vie in Philadelphia, PA, nearly a year after the proposal. At 5:30 p.m., they exchanged their I dos. Melissa Pierce donned a lace Allure gown with sparkly decorations that shimmered all over but just the perfect amount, while Lloyd Pierce dressed in a blueish suit. To commemorate their wedding, they gathered roughly 200 families and friends.

The ‘unplugged ceremony’ allowed the bride and groom to see delighted faces with tears and grins instead of cameras and flashes at the sunshine-themed wedding. On the day before the wedding, they held a Sunset Soiree for all of the guests.
What Was the Reason for Lloyd D. Pierce and Melissa J. Ghoston’s Sunshine Wedding?
Lloyd and his wife Melissa tied the knot in a sunny Philadelphia ceremony. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,” the reception sang, “you make me joyful when the skies are overcast.” The song, however, was not the source of inspiration for a sunny-themed wedding. “Sunshine” was Lloyd’s very first nickname for his then-girlfriend Melissa. With Melissa’s passion with the sky and sunsets, it was the perfect theme for the pair.
The charming couple spent their honeymoon in Italy. Melissa and Lloyd now have a daughter, Maya Joy, and a new ray of sunshine is on the way. We wish this pair a happy life together for the rest of their lives.
