Boris Kodjoe’s father, Dr. Eric Ofuatey-Kodjoe, died on December 30, 1938, but he lived a long life and saw very much everything.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much information available about Eric; but, according to his son, he had a difficult time establishing himself. Even as the chief of anesthesiology at his hospital, Dr. Eric Kodjoe faced repeated racial taunts and racially motivated harassment because people judge others by their skin color.
Despite the fact that Kodjoe’s father contributed significantly through his medical services, his abilities were questioned, and patients refused to be examined. Despite the pain, Eric continued to assist and save lives. The half-German, half-Ghanian shared his ideas solely through his social media account.
Dr. Eric, a wonderful man, died on April 4th, 2016. Boris verified the news with a loving caption on Instagram, telling him to relax. He died at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of good actions.
