Angus Young, born Angus McKinnon Young, is an Australian rock ‘n’ roll superstar best known as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC. In 1973, he and his late brother, Malcolm Young, co-founded the band AC/DC. Vandenberg revealed to the White Line Fever podcast in 2018 that he introduced AC/DC guitarist Angus Young to Ellen Young. He claimed to be friends with Angus Young’s wife, Ellen. They met while Vandenberg was a student at the University of Arnhem in the Netherlands. He and Ellen were frequently seen together at clubs and at rock concerts.
Vandenberg went on to tell that he was in a rock band called TEASER, and that they had released an album. On a handful of occasions, he and his band were asked to accompany AC/DC on stage. One of his presentations took place in a town near where he was studying and where Mrs. Young also resided. So she asked him to add her to the guest list, which he did. Ellen called Adrian a few weeks later to tell him she was with Angus Young. After meeting in 1980, Angus and Ellen married a few years later.
