Season 9 Cast and Ending of ‘Basketball Wives’

Season 9 Cast and Ending of ‘Basketball Wives’

The ninth season of VH1’s Basketball Wives came to an end too soon. The reality show usually has 18 episodes per season, but this season only had seven. It also lacked a reunion, which was present in every other season.

One of the show’s cast members, Evelyn Lozada, responded to a fan’s concern regarding why the show was no longer airing.

When speaking with Wendy Williams, Lozada also revealed why the ninth season had such a short run. The conclusion of the most recent season of Basketball Wives was lackluster, according to Williams.

The TV personality went on to explain that it felt more like a special to the cast members than a season to them. She also mentioned that the filming time was insufficient for eight episodes, so they settled for seven.

She went on to say that the rest of the crewmates were relieved it was ended so they could get back to filming as usual.

Another explanation for the short season could be that numerous cast members, such as Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Malaysia Pargo, and Kristen Scott, cut their small stay-cation short due to internal conflict.

Season 9 of Basketball Wives welcomed Liza Morales.

Basketball Wives didn’t just have a fresh seven-episode season. Liza Morales was a new addition to the roster for the ninth season of the reality show.

Morales is a fashion designer who is married to former NBA player Lamar Odom and has two children with him: Destiny (22) and Lamar Jr. (19). Jayden, the couple’s third child, died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) on June 29, 2006.

Odom’s drug usage and melancholy were sparked by the death of their six-month-old son. The two high school sweethearts gradually drifted apart as a result of his substance misuse and partying. Morales spoke with People about the catastrophe.

Morales had been sad for two years but was only diagnosed after a close friend recommended he see a therapist.

After only a month of dating, Odom married Khloé Kardashian in 2009. After he overdosed at a Nevada brothel in 2015, their marriage ended in 2016.

Following the event, it was revealed that he had been involved with a number of other women.
