Olivia Ponton’s Girlfriend Reacts to the Term “Fake” Relationship

Olivia Ponton’s Girlfriend Reacts to the Term “Fake” Relationship

Olivia Ponton is a TikTok and Instagram star who rose to stardom at a young age after her TikTok videos went viral. Ponton began her career on TikTok and has since grown her brand to become an influencer who uses her platform to raise awareness about issues such as equality and gender rights.

She volunteers with groups such as World Harvest Food Bank and 4Ocean, and she has recently become an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.

On June 2, 2021, Ponton declared her gender orientation and claimed she was bi. She also revealed that she has been dating Kai Novak, a fellow TikToker, since January 2021.

Many people had speculated that the two were dating before the confirmation. A few TikTok users, however, alleged that their relationship was a ruse. Novak took to TikTok to dispel all of the misconceptions surrounding their “fake” romance.

Is there a romance between Olivia Ponton and Kai Novak?

Novak, like Ponton, is a TikToker who likes to share videos on soccer and fitness. She plays for the UCLA women’s soccer team and frequently posts TikTok videos about soccer and fitness. On April 24, 2021, before Ponton acknowledged their relationship, a TikTok claiming their relationship was false appeared and went viral.

Hannah Kosh created the video, claiming that the relationship was only an agreement for Ponton to assist Novak’s sister in getting a start in modeling. Novak was also allegedly associated with a girl named Rilie Hardister, according to Kosh, who had left comments on the couple’s TikTok videos revealing her relationship with the soccer player.

Kosh presented a screenshot of Novak and Hardister on a FaceTime call as proof. She also showed a series of text messages between the two where Novak was convinced Hardister what she saw on the internet “just isn’t real.”

According to one piece, everything was meant to elicit opinions and emotions from the public. Similarly, Novak is said to have admitted to doing everything for her sister.

On April 30, 2021, Novak used TikTok to refute all the rumors. She responded to the claims by claiming that everything was a hoax. She said that Hardister was attempting to sabotage her good relationship with Ponton because she was ecstatic to be with him. Novak accused Hardister of being “beyond jealous” in the video captions, and she was criticizing the soccer player’s character.

Novak went on to say that she had never met, much less dated, Hardister. Hardister was texting one of her pals while pretending to be Novak, and the soccer player argued that screen recordings reveal nothing.

After a month, Ponton came out as bi and stated that she had been seeing Novak since the beginning of 2021, putting an end to Kosh and Hardister’s false accusations.

Olivia Ponton’s Story of Coming Out

Ponton revealed she is bisexual and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community in an interview with Teen Vogue.

Rumors regarding her gender orientation started circling after she posted a TikTok back in March. In the months that followed, she began posting videos with her now-boyfriend Novak, fueling the suspicions even more.

She remained silent since she had never imagined herself attracted to someone of her own gender. But all changed when she entered Novak’s DMs and began to fall for her.

Ponton first told her best friend that she was gay. She commented out loud that it seemed odd because it was something she had never experienced before. Her dearest friend backed her up completely. It was a step in the right direction for her to accept herself.

Jojo Siwa made the announcement that she is LGBTQ earlier this year. Ponton was further impressed by Siwa’s bravery to accept herself and express her truth. She wanted to come out in order to show other young girls that it was okay to be uncertain about their sexual orientation.

However, the TikTok star was still unsure whether she could identify as a queer woman because, unlike the cliché, she was very feminine.

However, seeing such a broad variety of LGBT representations on TikTok, each with its own style and aesthetic, made her understand that there was no one-size-fits-all solution. Regardless of their orientation, a person could wear whatever they wanted. As a result, she has finally embraced herself and pushed others to do the same.

Ponton said on Instagram on June 11, 2021, that she has never been happier since she revealed her gender orientation. She raved about how, after all these years of not knowing who she was, she could finally live joyfully and freely.
