Satie Gossett is the son of Louis Gossett Jr. and Christina Mangosing, an American actor. His father, Louis, is best known for his appearance in the 1982 film An Officer and a Gentleman as Gunnery Sergeant Emil Foley. He earned an Academy Award for his performance in that picture. Satie’s father, Louis, won an Emmy Award for his performance as Fiddler in the 1977 ABC television miniseries Roots.

Louis Gossett Jr.’s eldest son

Louis Jr., Satie’s father, married three times. Hattie Glascoe, his first wife, died in childbirth. Louis Jr. then married Christina Mangosing on August 21, 1973, however the marriage ended in divorce in 1975. From 1987 to 1992, he was married to Star Search champion Cyndi James-Reese.

Satie graduated from Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California, in 1992. In the same way, he spent a year at the Phillips Academy in 1993. Satie, Louis’ eldest child, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in cinema studies from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1997.

Writer, Producer, and Director with a Vision

Satie Gossett worked for two years in the CBS Television Distribution division from 1997 to 1999, according to his Linkedin page. From 2004 to 2005, he worked as an intern and a celebrity screenwriter in the Writers Boot Camp to further his film production knowledge.

Satie also worked for a year as an assistant in the Logo Entertainment in 2007. He began working as a producer and writer for Goose Egg Productions in 2007 and has remained there to this day. Satie is also producing and supporting Wrapped Productions in obtaining funding for “The Untold Truth,” a documentary on Negro League Baseball.

Satie Gossett’s film direction and production have been included in a number of award-winning short films, including Jewtholic, Departure, and Forgiveness. One of his most well-known productions, Jewtholic, was narrated by his father, Louis Jr.

Satie currently teaches video production at Maya Angelou Community High School and the LAUSD Arts Education Branch. Satie, a filmmaker living in Los Angeles, is also a member of the Social Cinema Foundation’s crew. The foundation’s purpose is to support and train young creators around the world through the production of socially conscious films and media.

Has A Younger Sibling

Satie’s father, Louis Jr., had no children from his first and third wives, as previously stated. Louis Jr.’s lone biological son, Satie, is the result of his second marriage to Christina Mangosing. Louis adopted Sharron Gossett in 1989 after having no children with his third wife. Satie’s father took Sharron’s custody when he was a charming nine-year-old child named Anthony.

Sharron is now a happy family man with a gorgeous wife and children. In August 2009, he married Deanna Gossett, his longtime girlfriend.
