Learn About the ‘Love At First Flight’ Story of Dana Perino and Peter Mcmahon

Learn About the ‘Love At First Flight’ Story of Dana Perino and Peter Mcmahon

Since 1998, Dana Perino, an American political analyst and novelist, and her businessman husband Peter McMahon have been enjoying a blissful marriage.

Who is the husband of Perino?

McMahon, a native of Blackpool, runs a firm that sells medical supplies. He currently holds the position of President at the New York-based GreenSleeve Surgical.

From September 2007 to January 2009, he was President George W. Bush’s White House press secretary.

The 66-year-old Englishman had attended the Pueblo, Colorado, campus of the University of Southern Colorado.

At first sight: Love

Perino boarded a plane from Denver to Chicago in August 1997. She initially encountered business tycoon McMahon next to her seat.

Perino was struck by his charming appearance and British accent and thought of starting a relationship with him right away. She even looked to see if he was wearing an engagement ring, and, to her relief, he wasn’t.

Perino described her husband’s first impression to Yahoo in November 2018: “Oh, he’s cute, he’s not wearing a wedding ring, and he has a British accent.”

So the two strangers struck up a conversation right away and remained in contact the entire way to Chicago.

Following their phone and email interaction at the end of the journey, they stayed in touch on a regular basis.

McMahon proposed to Perino eleven months after they initially met. However, it took almost two months for the Fox News host to accept the offer.

The wedding took place on September 30, 1998.

Successfully Married to Date

August 2020 marked the couple’s 23rd anniversary of their first encounter. When that happened, Perino uploaded a sweet photo of herself and her husband McMahon on Instagram.

She captioned the photo, “Met on an airplane 23 years ago today.”

On June 12, 2017, the pair had already marked McMahon’s 63rd birthday.

It was not just her husband’s birthday that was celebrated; it was also a celebration of their union. Dana summarized the party as follows:

Another such case occurred on August 17, 2016, when the anchor shared a photo of herself and her spouse to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary.

She wrote in the caption of her post, “19 years ago today, Peter McMahon and I first spoke on a plane. See, my comrades, it IS possible!”

On the auspicious occasion of their 19th wedding anniversary, Dana Perino posted a photo of herself and Peter McMahon.

The couple is fully embracing their married life. They still have a long way to go even after more than 20 years.

Dogs Are Perino and McMahon’s Children

The couple does not regret their decision to not have children, despite the fact that they are childless.

They may not have children since they are too busy pursuing their own career and, as a result, lack free time. They raised Jasper, a dog they adopted, as if he were a child.

Dana Perino is one of the wealthiest Fox News women, with a substantial salary and net worth.

Additionally, Jasper serves as both the couple’s buddy and their dog. Along with playing with their pet, Jasper also keeps McMahon company as he unwinds after a busy day and watches his wife’s program The Five.

Perino is undoubtedly enjoying the time of her life; after all, what more could a woman want for than a devoted husband and a puppy eagerly awaiting her arrival on the television?

McMahon has two children from a previous marriage, despite this.

Perino Has a Mass Communication Degree

Janice and Leo Perino welcomed their son Perino into the world on May 9, 1972 in Evanston, Wyoming. Her family and early years are a mystery to the majority of us due to the lack of revelation.

She went to Parker’s Ponderosa High School. She obtained a mass communication degree from Colorado State University in 1993 and graduated. The University of Illinois at Springfield is where she earned her master’s degree.

Her Career Hierarchy

At KTSC-TV, Perino started her career as a member of the university’s forensic team. She then worked as a staff assistant in Washington, D.C., for Congressman Scott McNis.

She then worked as Dan Schaefer’s press secretary for over four years after that.

Perino accepted a two-year contract in November 2001 to serve as the justice department’s spokesperson.

As the associate director of communications for the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), she later joined the White House staff and offered strategic guidance on message development, media relations, and public engagement.

From 2005 to 2007, the Fox anchor also worked as a deputy press secretary.

For one month in 2007, she served as the interim White House press secretary.

She was appointed assistant to the president in September 2007 and held that position until the conclusion of the Bush administration in January 2009.

President Barack Obama proposed her for the Broadcasting Board of Governors in November 2009.

At George Washington University, she began teaching political communication in 2010.

The Fox News Channel debuted a weekly limited series of Dana’s podcast Perino & Stirewalt: I’ll Tell You What in September 2016.
