On September 20, 2016, the critically acclaimed drama television series This Is Us made its debut. The Pearson family has been explored in great emotional detail over the course of the past five seasons, successfully causing viewers to cry.

The three children of Jack and Rebecca’s family—Kevin, Kate, and Randall—as well as their two parents—are followed throughout the course of the series. Sadly, their story is about to come to an end.

With the debut of its sixth season, the award-winning program will come to an end. Although the Season 6 debut date has not yet been revealed, 2022 is the anticipated release date.

From the 221 nominations for This Is Us, 57 awards have been won. Two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series have been given to them.

The show includes some of the top actors and actresses, including Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Faithe Herman, and Jon Huertas, thus the honors are well-deserved.

Kate Pearson is represented by Metz, and Hannah Zeile plays Kate Pearson when she was a teenager, between the ages of 16 and 18. Zeile claimed that portraying Kate enabled her to overcome her body worries in an interview with Style Caster on March 13, 2018.

The adolescent Kate wants to be a singer but has trouble losing weight. Zeile can relate to this element of Kate’s life because she too struggled with insecurity and the pressure to be slender when she first began her profession.

Since she had a petite, underdeveloped figure as a child, she was often made fun of. But as she approached her late teens, the utopian body type that pervaded social media made it more challenging.

Zeile began comparing herself to other people, which led her to pursue “physical ambitions.”

She established herself as an actress, but her ingrained insecurities continued to dominate her.

But acting as Kate gave her more self-assurance and made her proud of who she is.

Zeile views the role of teen Kate as an honor because it allowed her to overcome her insecurities. Although Kate has a lovely singing voice, her fears prevent her from pursuing her passion.

The actress, unlike Kate, does not want her insecurities to hold her back any longer. Instead, she makes an effort to improve herself since Kate would have admired her for doing so.

Zeile thinks that characters like Kate encourage the inclusion of people with realistic and relevant body types in TV shows and motion pictures. She wants to see a fat person play the lead role in a movie where their weight has no bearing on the plot.

The actress made it clear that there is more to a person than just how their body looks.

The Development of Hannah Zeile into Teen Kate

The actress needs about two and a half hours to become the character. She must put on a fat suit with a cast all over and a prosthetic chin in addition to her hair and makeup.

Not just Zeile wears a fat suit, though. For his portrayal as Toby Damon, Kate’s husband, Sullivan further wore a fat costume. He received a lot of criticism, but he stood by himself and said it was simply a costume for him.
