A Look at Anthony Davis’ Family: His Twin Sister Didn’t Play Basketball Like Him

A Look at Anthony Davis’ Family: His Twin Sister Didn’t Play Basketball Like Him

The towering 6 foot 10 inch Los Angeles Lakers player Anthony Davis has two siblings, including a twin sister named Antoinette Davis.

Basketball player Davis’ height has increased from 6 feet 3 inches, when he made his collegiate debut in 2009, to 6 feet 5, 6 feet 8, and now 6 feet 10.

Although Davis’ physical development has been well-documented in the media, less is known about his parents’ heights.

Anthony Davis’ Family: A Look

Anthony Davis Sr., Davis’ father, is 6 feet 6 inches tall, and Davis’ mother is 6 feet 1 inch tall, suggesting that Davis’ genetic makeup may have had an impact on his height.

Antoinette, the power forward’s twin sister, isn’t involved in professional sports, but Iesha Davis, their older sister, was selected to play with the Harlem Globetrotters in 2012, according to Kentucky Sports Radio. Iesha isn’t currently participating in the sport, though.

Iesha is around 10 inches shorter than her brother in height, standing at 5 feet.

While her twin sister is very popular on social media, Antoinette has distanced herself from sports and is less well-liked there. This may surprise some people given how popular her identical sister is.

Her propensity to protect privacy on open platforms is a major factor in this.

Unlike her brother, Antoinette is well known for maintaining the privacy of her Instagram account and exercising caution when posting. Although Antoinette’s Twitter is set to public, her account has a far smaller number of followers.

The bond Anthony Davis has with his sisters

According to Distractify, Davis wed his longtime partner and internet personality Marlen P last month; the couple has a daughter named Nala.

The basketball player has, however, maintained a close relationship with both of his sisters and has frequently declared his love for Antoinette and Iesha in public.

It seems sensible that the player posts images of his family on his official Instagram account when he isn’t talking about his team or sporting events.

Prior to being married, Davis kept his relationship with his current wife a secret, but at the same time, he was publicly expressing his love for his sisters, highlighting the close relationship between the siblings.

The 28-year-old Lakers player has even gone so far as to refer to his twin sister as his other half in the past. But Davis and Antoinette are particularly close for another unique reason.

Career Contribution of Antoinette Davis to Her Brother

Antoinette was a huge assistance to her twin brother throughout his college years when Davis was always involved with his basketball workouts, interviews, and photo shoots.

She is believed to have assisted Davis with his academics by keeping track of all of his project work and assignments. Fortunately, his twin sister’s influence was acknowledged, and the basketball sensation went on to win numerous collegiate awards and establish himself in the NBA.

He received awards during his time in college, including Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Final Four, Consensus National Player of the Year, SEC Play of the Year, etc.

Early in his professional career, Davis was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team.

Additionally, Davis has received six NBA All-Star honors, and in 2017 he was awarded the NBA All-Star MVP.

He was selected first overall by the NBA team New Orleans Hornets in the 2012 draft, which is widely regarded as his breakthrough year.

Prior to the start of his illustrious NBA career, Davis gained attention from a wider audience in the same year when he won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Two years later, the United States won the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2014 thanks to his excellent performance.
