On July 10, 2020, the American alternative rock band The Driver Era released their new single “Take Me Away.” The band’s most recent song was their third to be released under the quarantine.
Rocky and Ross Lynch, brothers, founded the band in 2018.
The rock group released two tracks earlier this month: ‘OMG Plz Don’t Come Around’ and ‘Flashdrive.’
The Lynch siblings are engaged in the writing, performing, and producing of the majority of the band’s songs, including the summer hit “Take Me Away.”
To commemorate the song, the duo had an Instagram live conversation on July 11, 2020. A total of 20,000 people joined the chat. Ross Lynch revealed during the live discussion that the song was written by the duo before they left Vancouver.
Rocky Lynch said, “That is actually…extremely insane.”
During the live session, American actor/singer Riker Anthony Lynch—the duo’s elder brother—announced that the song’s video would be recorded on July 13, 2020.
On the second day of its release, ‘Take Me Away’ had roughly 82k Spotify streams.
