Sam Pottorff was born on October 19, 1995, in San Clemente, California, USA, as Samuel John Pottorff. His parents are both from the United States. He grew up with his parents, two sisters, Mia and Cloe, and a brother, Levi.

After his band’s disbandment, the 23-year-old American internet celebrity drew public notice by getting engaged. He got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Rosa Van Iterson, who is also a Youtube star when he was just 20 years old.
On September 5, 2016, Sam Pottorff announced his engagement by releasing a video on Instagram with the caption:
Rosa even showed off her lovely golden engagement ring in the video. The couple appeared to be in high spirits and blasted the social media community with photographs of themselves together for a few days. And they were the talk of the town for a week, with their fans pouring them with well wishes and congratulations on their engagement.
At the age of 23, Sam marries Rosa.
Sam married Rosa on March 4, 2017, after a sizzler about becoming engaged was presented to the fans. In an intimate environment in Amsterdam, they did so. On Instagram, Sam wrote:
Despite a three-year age difference when they married, Sam was 22 and Rosa was 25, the couple’s love prevailed, and they have been happily married ever since.
Sam’s other Our2ndLife mates JC Caylen, Kian Lawley, Ricky Dillon, and Trevor Moran all attended the wedding, but Connor Franta was unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
The new husband-and-wife duo just celebrated their one anniversary and now occasionally make videos on their joint YouTube channel Sam and Rosa.
