Mowins began her career in 1991 as a news and sports director for WXHC-FM Radio in Homer, New York, where she was one of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame inductees in 2009.
In 1994, she joined ESPN. She called NCAA Championships in basketball, softball, soccer, and volleyball for ESPN and was the voice of the Women’s College World Series for more than 20 years.
She joined ESPN’s coverage of the 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany in 2011. Mowins relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 2012.
