Before his divorce from his first wife was finalized, Courtney Richards began dating CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz. Richards met Nantz while working as a vice president at IMG, where she had previously worked in sports marketing for the organization.

Jim Nantz proposed to his long-time inamorata, Courtney, with an engagement ring on September 14, 2010, according to the New York Post. While Nantz was on vacation in Maine with George H.W. Bush, Barbara Bush, and Jeb Bush, the incident occurred.
