Joe Gatto, a member of the ‘Impractical Jokers,’ frequently uses Twitter to show his love for his deceased parents.
Joe Gatto, one of the stars of the hidden camera reality show Impractical Jokers, has been making audiences laugh for ten years with his offbeat sense of humor and amusing challenges on the show.
However, the one who makes everyone happy is still grieving the loss of both parents. Gatto frequently uses Twitter to vent his frustrations and sentiments about his parents.
Due to alcoholism, Gatto’s father died.
Joseph Gatto Sr., Gatto’s father, was born in New York on July 15, 1939. Sadly, the comedian’s father passed away in September 1995 at the age of 56. His death was caused by pancreatic cancer, according to sources. His health, on the other hand, had been destroyed by alcoholism.
When he was nineteen years old, the Impractical Jokers actor lost his father. When his father passed away, he mentioned in one of his Tweets from January 2020 that a Winnie-the-Pooh stuffed toy had helped him sleep at night.
He revealed that he got the stuffed animal when he was three in the Tweet, which included a GIF of Pooh. Gatto also slept with the toy until he was 17 years old. He also stated that the toy had been his companion and had helped him get through some of his most difficult times, including the death of his father.
In August 2017, the singer also posted a touching photo of two similar cards that read, “Thank you for my son!” He wrote one and his father wrote the other.
When his son, Remo Gatto, was born, he presented the note to his wife. But what’s even more astonishing is that his father gave Gatto’s mother the identical handwritten note when he was born, nearly four decades ago.
The professional comedian recalled his family’s memories of viewing TV shows together in a March 2018 tweet.
Gatto, who was the target of a fake death rumor, said that particular TV shows helped them unite as a family. And, despite the fact that he lost his father when he was young, he treasures those memories.
You Should Do Everything You Can to Honor Your Parents’ Legacy
Following the death of his father, the TV host also lost his mother. In June 2012, his mother, Gerri Gatto, died unexpectedly at the age of 67.
Gatto Sr. and Gerri had a wonderful 28-year marriage until he died. Gatto, a comedian, was one of the couple’s three children. Gerri worked at St. Adalbert’s School as a secretary before being promoted to Administrative Executive.
Gerri is still alive in Gatto’s heart, despite the fact that she died eight years ago. On the seventh anniversary of his loving mother’s death, the 44-year-old sent a Tweet in June 2019.
He revealed the incident was unplanned and that he was still hurt in the tweet. He also conveyed his feelings, requesting that others do everything they can to honor their parents’ legacy. Furthermore, Gatto stated that he misses his mother on a daily basis and urged those who have lost loved ones to be strong.
It wasn’t the first time the New York native used social media to express his feelings. On his mother’s birthday in September 2018, Gatto sent out a special Tweet. He invited his followers to hug their mothers in honor of his mother’s birthday.
Furthermore, Gatto encouraged all others who had lost their mothers, as he had, to remember all the wonderful times and smile.
