Sarah Drew has her sights set on acting from a young age. She began performing in school plays when she was five years old, and by the time she was in high school, she was providing Stacy Rowe’s voice on the animated sitcom Daria.

She was involved in Broadway productions before landing her first significant TV role as Hannah Rogers on the well-liked WB sitcom Everwood.

From there, she appeared as a guest star on other well-known series, including Mad Men, Glee, and Medium.

She received her second big break in 2009 when she was chosen for a recurring part as Dr. April Kepner on the critically acclaimed ABC series Grey’s Anatomy.

Peter Lanfer and Drew got married in June 2002. In celebration of their 17th wedding anniversary, Drew shared a sweet snapshot of herself and her hubby on June 17, 2019. Drew greeted her hubby with a “Happy anniversary and Happy Father’s Day” in the caption.

Despite being married for 19 years, it seems like the couple has been together much longer.

Drew posted a carousel for another anniversary post on August 24, 2019, but this time it was their “date-adversary.” Drew noted that after exchanging letters, emails, and phone conversations for the previous eight months, her husband had taken her out on their first date 20 years earlier in the caption.

Before they rode the train into Manhattan to watch the Broadway production of Wit, her husband had taken a flight to her hometown.

Her husband had been her “confidante, biggest cheerleader, lover, and best friend,” she said.

She continued by saying she had struck the jackpot and how much she cherished him.

Drew’s husband earned his Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from UCLA in 2010, and according to the university’s website, he is a lecturer there.

She said that her son loved reading and conjuring up huge, lavish plans for inventions, plays, movies, and amusement parks. She also described him as “hilarious, brilliant, and innovative.” She continued by saying that he treated his sister with kindness and respect.

She stated in the caption that her daughter may be feisty one second and sweet and loving the next. She continued by saying that since parents were powerless to manage their children, the next best thing was to give up and unconditionally love them.
