In their new book, ‘The Hope We Hold,’ Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo reveal deep relationship secrets.
Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo just released their new book, The Hope We Hold, as a gift to their admirers who want to learn more about their marriage. It covers everything from their first meeting to their romance and subsequent adventure together.
The couple explained that their motivation for creating the book was the same as their motivation for hosting Counting On, which is to provide hope to people going through difficult times.
Aside from detailing most of Duggar and Vuolo’s journey together, the book also includes details on their relationship and experiences, such as Duggar’s earlier fears, excessive dieting, and miscarriage.
Once upon a time, Duggar lost his feelings for Vuolo.
The Hope We Hold chronicles Duggar and Vuolo’s relationship in all of its ugliness. It also details Duggar’s loss of feelings for her spouse.
Duggar abruptly stopped wanting to start a relationship with Vuolo five months into their courting. She writes in her book that the differing viewpoints on their suitability made her feel as if she would be dividing her family and friends if she began dating them.
Vuolo’s reaction after learning about Duggar’s dramatic change through her father was featured in an exclusive excerpt from the book posted by People. He also discusses his decision to stay after Jessa Seewald informed him of her change of heart.
Extreme Dieting by the Duggars
Duggar’s one month of rigorous dieting was one of the book’s revelations. She was thrust into the public eye after the premiere of 17 Kids and Counting in 2008, and she was put under a lot of pressure to preserve her image as “the perfect Christian.”
Duggar believed she needed to be slender and embarked on a month-long fast, skipping breakfast and dinner and even going to bed before her body could complain.
After a month, she finally told her mother what had happened.
Jinger had a miscarriage once.
In November 2016, Duggar and Vuolo married in front of approximately 1,000 guests. The couple has two daughters, Felicity and Evangeline Jo, who was born after their public wedding.
Duggar had a miscarriage shortly after giving birth to her first child. In May 2020, she informed her fans of the terrible news. The book goes into much detail about the situation, including how she had not anticipated having a miscarriage.
The miscarriage was their “biggest trial,” but Vuolo didn’t give up hope. Rather, it strengthened their faith and assisted them in overcoming their loss. Evangeline, the couple’s daughter, was born in November 2020.
