Lavell Crawford Is Interested In His Child’s Future
Nothing makes Lavell Crawford happier than seeing his child grow up and have a prosperous future.
But, back then [before his weight loss operation], he was afraid that, because of his obesity, he would die young and leave his children behind. According to the World Health Organization, about 2.8 million people die each year as a result of obesity or being overweight.
As a result, the comedian took the risky step of undergoing gastric bypass sleeve surgery in 2016.
Crawford discussed various issues, including his weight loss struggle, in a YouTube video from March 27, 2017, in which DJ Vlad interviewed him.
He admitted that he was not particularly active and that he would run out of breath after only three steps.
He even mentioned that he weighed 215.46 kg (475 lbs) at the time of the operation and that after opting to have surgery, he ate sugar-free foods and dieted for three months to shed roughly 75 lbs.
Crawford is optimistic that his wish to watch his child grow up will be achieved now that the entire weight loss surgery process is over and Huell Babineaux of Better Call Saul has shed around 90.72 kgs (200 lbs).
Lavell is devoted to his family.

The comedian is currently residing with his long-time wife, Deshawn Jones Crawford, with whom he married on February 14, 2009. Lavell Junior Crawford, the couple’s first and only child, was born to them in 2010.
The three-person family is extremely tight, and anytime Lavell has free time, he posts about his wife and kid on social media. On one of those occasions, on February 14, 2019, he sent a sweet message on Instagram to wish his wife a happy 10th wedding anniversary.
Similarly, the 25-year-old actor expressed his love for his wife in an Instagram post on August 14, 2019. He also wished his son luck on his first day of school in the same post.
With all of this in mind, it’s safe to say that the three-person family has a strong bond. They are content in their North Houston, Texas house.
