Since the launch of the period drama Bridgerton in December 2020, all eyes have been on Phoebe Dynevor and Simon Basset’s Daphne Bridgerton and Regé-Jean Page’s Duke of Hastings.
Fans speculated if the English performers were in love in real life because their connection was so evident in the Netflix series. Page was asked about their supposed off-screen romance while on Access.
Despite the fact that they did not confirm the rumors, the two stars continued to tease fans with evasive responses in interviews.
When news leaked in April that Dynevor was dating Saturday Night Live comic Pete Davidson, fans were astonished and perhaps disappointed. Even more stunning was the possibility that Page had something to do with it.
Pete Davidson and Phoebe Dynevor’s Relationship
The couple’s romance was originally rumored after fans saw them together in the United Kingdom on several occasions. According to Us Weekly, the two were seen holding hands in Caverswall, England, and appeared to be in love.
After meeting at a party in New York, the couple “hit it off.” According to Entertainment Tonight, the two started out as friends but immediately realized they had chemistry and began dating on the side. Things were also getting serious, according to the insider.
Although it’s unclear how the two met, it’s very likely that Page introduced Dynevor to her partner. Page hosted SNL on February 20 and finished his appearance in the Bridgerton parody by playing himself.
The “gathering” where Phoebe and Pete met could have been an SNL afterparty, according to Popsugar.
These are just educated guesses, and we’ll have to wait for the couple to reveal more information about their relationship to see if our assumptions were correct.
The First Time They Appeared in Public
The couple had kept their relationship private and had made no public statements about it. All of that changed on July 3 in London, when they made their first public appearance.
In matching green ensembles, Davidson and Dynevor were seen cuddling up in the Lanson suite at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, watching Roger Federer’s match. They were photographed kissing on the forehead, hugging on the side, and making other public displays of affection.
Davidson also shared photos of himself and Dynevor on Instagram to commemorate the occasion. While gazing into each other’s eyes, the couple appeared to be head over heels in love, and Davidson kept the caption simple with heart emojis.
