Bling Empire is a Netflix reality television show that follows affluent East Asians and East Asian-Americans.
This real-world version of Crazy Rich Asians follows a group of wealthy Los Angeles socialites who live life to the utmost.
The show debuted on January 15, 2021, to positive reviews from both fans and reviewers. As a result, on March 10, 2021, Bling Empire was revived for a second season.
Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee, two key cast members, will not be returning for Season 2.
The Departure of Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee
Chan and Lee were first hesitant to participate in the show. The long-distance couple’s families are extremely discreet about their life, so they were at a loss for what to do.
Chan, on the other hand, saw this as an opportunity to convey her cultural beliefs and life experiences. They eventually joined the Bling Empire.
The two rapidly rose to the top of the fan favorites list. They were well-received in season one, and many fans expected them to return in the future.
Regrettably, this will not be the case. TMZ exclusively announced on July 14, 2021, that the couple will be leaving the series.
They informed the newspaper that they took the decision to concentrate on their families and enterprises.
Jadore, a daughter, and Jevon, a son, are the couple’s children.
They’ve also recently become engaged. Chan got down on one knee and requested her sweetheart for his hand in marriage in the season one finale of Bling Empire. Although the pair have not yet married, they have been planning their wedding since they were engaged.
The couple had hinted at their departure in February 2021, before publicly announcing it. Chan told The Sun that the pair’s return for season 2 was uncertain.
Chan explained that she had no idea the show would provide them with such a large audience and fan base.
She claimed that with the release of Bling Empire, everything changed for them.
Chan is also on the lookout for her children. Following the show’s huge success, the reality star expressed concern for their safety and stated that protecting them is now her top responsibility.
Chan and Lee are also concentrating on their businesses, Bresatech and Religion Tequila. They want to leave a legacy for their children without relying on their parents.
In the interview, the socialite also discussed how her admirers are eager to watch how the wedding will unfold, admitting that deciding whether or not to return for a second season to showcase their marriage was difficult.
However, now that their departure has been revealed, it appears that fans will have to make do with photos from the big day on social media. Despite this, Chan and Lee are glad for the chance to appear on Bling Empire.
