TimTheTatman’s Switch from Twitch to YouTube: Ninja and DrDisrespect React

TimTheTatman’s Switch from Twitch to YouTube: Ninja and DrDisrespect React

TimTheTatman, real name Tim Betar, is coming to YouTube Gaming, following in the footsteps of DrLupo.

As tweets and accolades pour in, it appears that fans and fellow live-streamers are unable to contain their joy.

Betar began streaming on Twitch under the handle TimTheTatman about ten years ago, and in that time, he has amassed a community of 7 million devoted fans.

He has now signed an exclusive partnership with YouTube.

TimTheTatman’s Departure: Why Did He Leave?

In a recent interview with Business Insider, the streamer explained that his decision to switch platforms was motivated by his young family.

Twitch, he believes, takes up more time.

He went on to say that his biggest motivation is a desire to spend quality time with his wife and son.

Tatman, as his army of fans fondly refers to him, will continue to work the way he chooses — by not broadcasting on weekends — in order to spend more time with his young family.

TimTheTatman’s Next Project Is YouTube

TimTheTatman may be new to live-streaming on YouTube, but he already has a sizable TatmanArmy on the platform, with over 3.8 million members.

He can be seen exhibiting his prior employment, emphasizing how bizarre they were, and disclosing his upcoming venture with YouTube Gaming, calling it the future of gaming, in a promotional video he shared on Twitter.

Ninja Appreciates the Change

Ninja, a fellow gamer and live-streamer, couldn’t hold back his joy as he congratulated TimTheTatman, Jake Dunlop, and DrLupo on their recent shift to YouTube Gaming.

Ninja spoke up about the current events in an interview with Wicked Good Gaming on Twitter.

The departure of TimTheTatman and DrLupo from Twitch to YouTube Gaming, according to the streamer, is good for the industry.

He also highlighted YouTube’s quick effort in bringing in DrLupo and TimTheTatman. At the same time, he described the departing duo as “a Twitch staple.”

Ninja pointed out that players who were still live-streaming on the network had more clout than previously.

Jake “Courage” Dunlop expresses his joy on Twitter.

When he joined the YouTube Gaming community, fellow live-streamer Jake Dunlop greeted ‘his boys’ and announced his ambition of developing the best platform for live-streaming gamers in a recent Tweet.

DrLupo’s Stream is named after TimTheTatman.

DrLupo could be seen sharing the news to others and expressing his joy and enthusiasm over TimTheTatman’s coming to YouTube Gaming on a recent YouTube stream, which had 155,946 viewers at the time of this writing.

This just goes to demonstrate how highly TimTheTatman is regarded by his colleagues and the gaming world at large.

He even named his video after another broadcaster and gamer.

Dr. Disrespect’s Emotions Couldn’t Be Hiding

Dr. Disrespect was unable to manage his emotions during one of his latest live-streams. He exclaimed, ‘Get in Timmy,’ as he rejoiced at the news of TimTheTatman’s entrance on YouTube.

This could, however, be related to his continuing fight with Twitch, as he just claimed that he will sue the streaming network over the ban imposed on his channel.
